Apollo Global Management partnered with Woodrow to design and produce the Apollo Opportunity Foundation 2024 Highlights Report. The project celebrated the firm’s work to expand opportunity in communities around the world.

The goal was to create a publication that reflected Apollo’s scale, ambition, and humanity. The final report needed to be more than an update. It had to be a flagship storytelling piece that people would want to read, share, and display.

Client background

Apollo Global Management is one of the world’s largest alternative asset managers, with more than 650 billion dollars in assets under management.

Through the Apollo Opportunity Foundation, the firm invests in programmes that broaden access to education, employment, and economic empowerment.

Working with more than 25 partners worldwide, the Foundation supports initiatives that create real pathways to opportunity, from CV workshops for veterans to mock interviews for students from underrepresented backgrounds.

The challenge

Apollo wanted the Foundation’s 2024 Highlights Report to feel different. The 2023 version was a simple booklet that lacked some of the storytelling depth and design quality Apollo wanted.

The new report needed to capture both impact and emotion, combining editorial clarity with design excellence. It had to tell a cohesive story that reflected Apollo’s purpose and the people behind its success.

Solution implementation

Woodrow led the process from strategy through to print. Every decision, from structure to layout, was shaped to balance design precision with human storytelling.


  1. Editorial and narrative direction

    • Developed a clear structure that showcased the impact of each of the Foundation's 25 partners.

    • Shifted focus from data to people, telling stories of progress through personal experience and first-hand accounts.

    • Included volunteer reflections and Q&A features that connected Apollo's employees directly to the Foundation's mission.


  1. Design and production

    • Created a coffee-table-style publication printed on premium paper with silver foiling for a refined, tactile finish.

    • Used a modern colour palette, full-page imagery, and clean typography to create energy and rhythm throughout.

    • Managed the full production process, from creative direction to delivery across Apollo's global network.

Outcomes & results

  • The 2024 Highlights Report received exceptional feedback across Apollo’s global offices.

  • The first print run of 100 copies was distributed within days, prompting an immediate second run. The publication is now displayed in Apollo offices worldwide.

  • The report became a reflection of Apollo’s values: excellence, precision, and purpose. It also helped strengthen internal pride and external understanding of the Foundation’s role in expanding opportunity.
