Woodrow has been recognised In PRWeek’s Agency Business Report as 'one to watch' as we grow in the US. Since 2018, Woodrow has grown to a team of 30 consultants in London and six in Nairobi, with revenue of $4.53 million in 2024. Now, we’re expanding he’s across the pond to New York.

Woodrow wins Best Campaign at the EMEA SABRE Awards
Proud to share that Woodrow won Best Campaign (Association category) at the EMEA SABRE Awards for our work with the CLA. This was a campaign to make rural Britain unignorable — and it did. From FOIs that revealed forces tackling rural crime without torches, to polling that shifted party leaders’ priorities — and taking on Treasury figures that downplayed how inheritance tax would hit farmers — we built a media strategy that changed the conversation. 70,000 farms affected, it turns out. Not 500.

Woodrow has appointed former agency and in-house fintech leader Isabel Wood as its new managing director. Wood (pictured) joins from her recent venture as part of the founding team at fintech start-up Communion, after spending four years as chief communications officer at mortgage fintech Habito, where she led the business to Series E funding.

Woodrow Launches Emerging Technologies Practice With Tech Entrepreneurs
Fast-growing strategic communications agency Woodrow has launched an emerging technologies practice, with experienced tech firm founders embedded into the firm to offer a hybrid of business and communications advice to tech entrepreneurs. The Woodrow Emerging Technologies team is made up of strategic comms professionals alongside tech founders and advisers who have worked with the likes of Nike, Puma, Universal, and MoonPay.

Mental health advocacy group for men in PR launches
An advocacy group has launched to address the mental health challenges faced by men working in the PR industry. The Third – so named because men account for roughly one-third of the comms workforce – aims to bridge the gap in mental-health awareness in the industry. The advocacy group will focus on promoting open dialogue and building a supportive network for men across a fragmented agency landscape. The initiative has been launched by Charlie Tarr, founder and chief executive of Woodrow, and Oli Bradley, managing director of Words + Pixels.

Woodrow forms partnership with French PR firm
UK comms consultancy Woodrow and Paris-based Taddeo have announced a strategic partnership to expand their work across the UK and Europe, and internationally. The partnership will enable Woodrow and Taddeo to take part in joint projects, exchange teams, and expand client bases in the UK and EMEA as well as the US. The collaboration aims to “enhance knowledge- and network-sharing” between the London and Paris consultancies while improving access to clients.

Woodrow Hires Ogilvy Leader to Head Africa Practice
The fast-growing strategic comms firm has appointed David Karega to lead expansion in the region, including major philanthropic clients. London-headquartered strategic communications consultancy Woodrow has appointed former Ogilvy leader David Karega to lead its practice in Africa. Karega (pictured) had been at Ogilvy Africa since 2019, latterly as deputy managing partner for PR and influence. In his time at Ogilvy, he delivered campaigns for the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Bolt, Twitter, Standard Chartered Bank and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and has also led communications work for the Mastercard Foundation and the Global Fund.
